Chapel of St. John the Divine
Champaign, IL
Originally designed in 1925 as an eight-bay Gothic church, only three bays and a temporary wood-frame chancel were built before the Great Depression. Nearly 80 years later the Episcopal Church Foundation commissioned IGW to complete it.
The completion added two high bays, a sacristy area, central air, and accessibility upgrades, with a neo-Gothic exterior of limestone and stained glass.
